A wide variety of sports are being represented as Ingersoll prepares to add another four names to the Ingersoll Sports Hall of Fame this weekend. Harry Vinkenvleugel will be inducted as both an athlete and builder in the sport of Olympic weightlifting, Alan Costello is being recognized as a builder of soccer in Ingersoll and Tony Mucha will be inducted as an athlete in track and field. Ingersoll Museum Curator Scott Gillies says they will be inducting their second horse into the Hall of Fame as well. "Run the Table was a world champion race horse that was owned by Jack McNiven and his brother of Don of Killean Acres here in Ingersoll." The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday in the auditorium of the Ingersoll Arena starting at 5pm. Tickets are $5 each with the proceeds going toward the construction of a revamped Sports Hall of Fame. Gillies says, "There are a limited number of tickets still available, but will be available at the door. They're only $5, and will get you in and get you a chance to win some of the prizes, plus enjoy and informative and entertaining evening."
