Woodstock continues its investment into city transit by purchasing another new Nova
A new city bus will be hitting the streets in the near future.
Council approved the sole source purchase of a new 40' low floor Nova bus to replace the city's 1976 GMC bus at a cost of nearly $462,000, with $400,000 funded though Provincial gas tax.
According to staff, all but two of the city's current buses are Nova's so purchasing from Nova again would make maintenance and repairs more efficient.
The purchase comes as the province announces the city will be getting just under $205,000 as part of the Gas Tax Program from October 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014 as they try to align the program with the Provincial fiscal year.
