A more effective, coordinated approach to addiction treatment has been developed. Oxford County residents can now get addiction help through a new rotating walk-in clinic. It's was created through a partnership between four organizations: Addiction Services of Thames Valley, the Ingersoll Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic, the Canadian Mental Health Association Oxford, and the Woodstock & Area Community Health Centre. Executive Director at Addiction Services of Thames Valley Linda Sibley says they've maximized staff. "The way that we've tripled our resources is by training up our partners staff so that it's not just Addiction Services staff doing the addiction work," said Sibley. Executive Director of the Woodstock and Area Community Health Centre Cate Melito says the service will be more timely. "I think what we'll see is a significant reduction in the waiting time for people who are looking for support for addiction issues," said Melito. The walk-in clinics are set up in three different locations, and are offered five times a month. You can expect the same level of service at each location. Monthly Walk-in Schedule: 1st Tuesday of each month- 12:30-2:30pm @ the Livingston Centre (96 Tillson Ave. Tillsonburg) 1st Thursday of each month 9:00-11:00am @ the Woodstock & Area Community Health Centre (35 Metcalf St., Woodstock) 2nd Wednesday of each month 5:00-7:00pm @ the Ingersoll Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic (19 King St. E, Ingersoll) 3rd Wednesday of each month 5:00-7:00pm @ the Woodstock & Area Community Health Centre (35 Metcalf St., Woodstock) 4th Thursday of each month 12:30-2:30pm @ the Ingersoll Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic (19 King St. E, Ingersoll)
