MPP Ernie Hardeman invites everyone to share a meal and ideas during the annual pig roast.
WOODSTOCK - Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman will once again be cooking up some local pork, free of charge for all of his constituents.
The annual pig roast is back again on Saturday at Southside Park.
Hardeman tells Heart FM why he continues to have the event.
"It's an opportunity for the people of the area to and come talk to us and to enjoy some hospitality. But more than that, just to meet and say hello and bring forward any questions. A lot of people might want to make a point known and not call us, this is an opportunity to talk about things that are on their mind."
He also say what topics he thinks will be brought up at the roast.
"Hydro rates have been a topic for a number of years now, and I don't think that has changed a lot. There will be some discussion about that and the new labour legislation is not just the minimum wage. But there's a number of other items in the bill that are of great concern."
There is not cost to the event. Hardeman says all of the meat is locally sourced and they should have enough food for everyone.
