The first blast of winter caused some havoc on our area roads over the weekend. Oxford OPP responded to 28 crashes on the 401 in just over three hours on Saturday. Thankfully, none of the collisions caused serious injuries. Police are reminding motorists that they need to slow down and drive according to the conditions. As they point out, just because you have snow tires or a four wheel drive vehicle, does not mean you have a licence to travel at a high rate of speed.
