Police say the man was driving around with an open case of beer and a couple of bags of weed within his reach on Thursday morning.
STRATFORD - Stratford Police pulled over a man on Thursday morning around 9, who was enjoying a morning beer.
Police say on top of the morning beer in the car, the man didn't have a licence, because he had lost it for a previous impaired driving charge. He also was supposed to an ignition interlock system that would only start if he could prove he hadn't been drinking.
The driver also had an open case of beer and two bags of weed that were well within his reach while driving.
The 36 year old from Barrie was arrested on the following charges:
- Drive Motor Vehicle – No Validated Permit.
- Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence.
- Drive Motor Vehicle – Not Equipped with Ignition Interlock Device.
- Drive Vehicle with Cannabis Readily.
- Available, and Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor.
