A faulty pump has caused the opening of Lions Pool to be delayed. According to Woodstock Aquatics Supervisor Peter Johnston, the pool liner was repaired and the pool was filled by the Fire department as planned. However, when they went to switch on the pump, they discovered a new issue. The pump has been dismantle and sent away to be repaired, causing the opening to be delayed. Johnston says this also affects the swimming lessons held at the pool, "Unfortunately our lessons have had to be moved to Southside Aquatic Centre for the morning. We would like a few days once the pump is back in operation to get the water up to temperature so people are comfortable and with the weather we're having, hopefully that won't take very long." There is no time line on how long it will take for the pump to be repaired, which means they are unsure when the pool will be ready for swimming again.
