Norwich continue their winning ways while the Vets fall to the Firebirds
Norwich remain one point behind Ayr after another victory Sunday.
The Merchants improved to 12-3-0 with a win over Tavistock. They beat the Braves 4-1 which leaves places them second in the Midwestern Junior C hockey standings.
Norwich host Burford Friday night at 8:00 pm.
Down the highway in Woodstock, the Navy Vets suffered a tough loss to New Hamburg as the Firebirds skated away with a 7-2 victory.
The Vets' two goals came from first time scorers, defencemen Sam MacPherson and Derrick Fried.
Woodstock will look to rebound when they travel to Burford Saturday night. They're 1-and-1 against the Bulldogs this season.
