Norwich battled hard to even the series in the Niagara Jr C west division finals Sunday afternoon. New Hamburg took the early lead scoring six minutes into the first period before Drake Morrell answered back for the Merchants on the power play. The Firebirds' Kory Nowak took the lead back two minutes later leading New Hamburg into the second period with a 2-1 lead. But Norwich stormed back in the second period with three goals in three minutes and never looked back. Forward Brett Parsons sealed the deal with two more goals in the third period helping to lead the Merchants to a 6-4 victory over the Firebirds. The series shifts back to New Hamburg on Tuesday for game five. Puck drops there at 7:30 pm.
