Residents in Zorra Township can purchase a Memorial Tree for $40 to honour a loved one.
ZORRA TOWNSHIP - Residents in Zorra Township can purchase a Memorial Tree for $40 to honour a loved one.
Mayor Marcus Ryan says the tree is then planted in various locations throughout Zorra.
"You can select from a preapproved list of appropriate trees and it will be planted in one of several areas in Thamesford, Harrington and a Memorial Tree forest in the east end of the Township. It's a great way for people to remember someone important to them and also add to the nature and the beauty here in Zorra."
After purchasing a Memorial Tree, you can have your loved ones name added to the signs located at Grace Patterson Park in Thamesford, Embro Conservation Area and Harrington Conservation Area.
You can find more information about the program online here.
