The LPRCA is asking everyone to stay away from local bodies of water due to higher water levels.
UPDATE: The Water Safety Statement has been upgraded to a Riverine Flood Warning.
The Long Point Region Conservation Authority says the water levels are rising rapidly due to yesterday's rain and snow and the situation is only going to get worse, because we have more rain and snow in the forecast for the next few days.
It's asking people to stay away from local bodies of water because the banks could be slippery and the water is cold and fast-moving.
The conservation authority is also warning people to stay away from Big Otter Creek in Vienna because flooding may occur.
The LPRCA is upgrading the watershed conditions statement to a Riverine Flood Warning for all areas within its watershed.

LPRCA - The Long Point Region Conservation Authority has issued a Water Safety Statement.
We could get up to 25 milimetres of rain today and there's more snow and rain in the forecast for Friday.
This means the water levels will be higher than usual, so officials are reminding everyone to stay away from local streams, rivers, ponds and other bodies of water. Property owners are also being asked to clear the dams, culverts, and catch basins on their land so they can work properly.
The conservation authority says there could be localized flooding in some areas, but it shouldn't be anything major.
