The Long Point Region Conservation Authority extended its flood warning yesterday and it will remain in effect until this Friday.
LPRCA - The Long Point Region Conservation Authority is reminding everyone to stay away from local bodies of water today.
The banks close to rivers, ponds, streams, and ditches could be quite slippery and the fast-flowing water is very dangerous.
The LPRCA extended its flood warning yesterday afternoon before the rain even started. Big Otter Creek in Tillsonburg and Vienna was already close to flooding at the time. The flood warning will remain in effect until 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, with 20 to 40 milimetres of rain possible by the time it ends later this morning. We also have another 10 to 20 milimetres of rain in the forecast for tomorrow.
