A local mother is looking to inspire change in the town of Ingersoll.
INGERSOLL - A passionate volunteer has her sights set on Ingersoll Town Council.
Becci Verbrugge has been involved in multiple organizations; whether it is on school council or with Girl Guides.
Now she is looking to make a difference as a town councillor.
"I think there is room for some growth and positive change to keep people interested in coming here and keep the same small town feeling."
Verbrugge would like to improve housing for seniors looking to downsize. She would also like to improve youth programming in the area.
Verbrugge would like to make sure all residents have their voices heard.
"There's only so many things that municipal office can do as far as change, but I think if the ideas are out there from people I can encourage them to come and present to get their ideas out there or even propose it to council."
