The LPRCA says we could see some flooding in low lying areas today due to the rain and the warmer temperatures melting some of the snow.
LPRCA - The Long Point Region Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch in response to today's rain storm.
It says some areas along the Long Point Region watershed could get anywhere between 15 to 20 milimetres of rain today. This means we could see we could see some flooding in low lying areas, due to the rain and the warmer temperatures melting some of the snow.
Make sure you stay away from ditches, streams, rivers and ponds. They could be quite dangerous due to slippery banks and the cold, fast-flowing water.
You should also check all of the dams, culverts and catch basins on your property to make sure they are working properly.
