LONG POINT - The Long Point Provincial Park is closed because of flooding and there will be no camping this long weekend.
The park was closed on Sunday because of flooding concerns and is still closed to the public at this time. Ensuring public safety is a priority for Ontario Parks and will guide there decision on when to reopen the park.
A decision has been made to keep the park temporarily closed until Tuesday May 21st. Affected reservations will be contacted by the Ontario Parks reservation service and offered to change their reservation without penalty where sites are available or cancel and receive a full refund.
Park staff are continuing to monitor conditions closely to reopen the park as soon as it is safe to do so.
