Woodstock Police responded to several calls over the weekend where items were stolen from unlocked vehicles.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock police are preaching lock it or lose it after getting called to a number of vehicle entries in the Friendly City.
Officers responded to several calls where cars and trucks were broken into and small items were stolen. Most of the thefts happened because the cars were not locked. Criminals target these vehicles and they are looking for electronics like GPS's, cell phones and lap tops, they are also looking for money and cheque books. Police are reminding everyone to never leave your valuables in plain sight and always lock your door and keep your windows rolled up.
Also if you have a garage, use it and lock the door.
