Family and friends of three year old Heart Warrior Clairabell O'Quinn will remember her with a special fundraiser
WOODSTOCK - One girl's courageous battle with a congenital heart defect could help other families still fighting.
Heart warrior Clairabell O'Quinn was just three years old when she passed away last month at Toronto's Sick Kids Hospital. Family and friends are honouring the brave girl's legacy with a fundraiser.
The 7-11 on Huron Street in Woodstock will host the event featuring a raffle according to organizer Brittany Davis.
"It's not just a raffle, we actually have some pretty cool things going on outside the raffle. We have live music. We also have Woodstock Spider-Man coming and Flash Me Photography will be doing photos with Spider-Man and other superheroes for dollar donations."
Some of the raffle items include photography packages, delicious goodies from local vendors, and movie gift certificates.
Davis says they hope the money raised can help give more people a fighting chance.
"The money will be going to congenital heart defect organizations. So we found foundations and all the money will be going to the research and the families who suffer from congenital heart defects."
It's happening at the 7-11 in Woodstock on Saturday from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
