A local man allegedly involved in a violent attack in downtown Woodstock will stand trial starting today. Jason Lewis is being tried on a charge of assault causing bodily harm following the August 2011 attack on Darryl Watson, a well known former employee of Operation Sharing. Watson had to undergo facial reconstructive surgery, lost most of the sight in his left eye and suffered some brain damage when he hit his head on the pavement in Museum Square after being attacked from behind. The trial is expected to last 4 days.
