OPP are reminding everyone to leave your pets at home in the cold weather.
Police have had a few calls over the past couple of days of pets being left in vehicles while they are out shopping. Constable Ed Sanchuk says it is too cold right now to leave your pets alone in a vehicle.
"I'm actually sitting with my dog Guiness and Guiness is a little bit shaky right now and the car is actually warm, so we want to put a reminder out to everyone to please leave your pets in the confines of a nice warm home."
Sanchuk says if it is too cold for you, it is too cold for your pets.
"We have had some reports of people leaving their pets in the car while they run into the store for a couple of minutes, running into the store for 2 or 3 minutes is unacceptable, you just don't know how cold that car can get so we just want to put the reminder out to everybody to please leave your furry friends at home."
