Blandford-Blenheim resident Glenn Koch has announced he's running for a councillor position in the Township.
BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM- Local business owner Glenn Koch has filed his papers to run for one of the councillor positions on Blandford-Blenheim town council. Koch says being a business owner exposes him to a lot of people within the community. "Being here for so long and running a business in the area I've had exposure to a lot of the local people- as a small community you get to hear different opinions..."
Running for council has been on Koch's radar for a number of years.
"I actually have thought about this over the course of the past eight years...this time the window of opportunity was there and I say grab the bull by the horns and so ya throw your hat in the ring."
I feel that I can contribute something as far as bettering the area, promoting new business...utilizing some of the potential as far as our exit ramp at the 401."
Koch joins 7 other candidates running for council positions in the township.
