A man from Norwich Township had his manslaughter charge dropped after pleading guilty to trafficking and criminal negligence causing death.
NORWICH - A man from Norwich Township has pleaded guilty to trafficking and criminal negligence causing death.
William Knapp was arrested following of the death of Carolyn De Wit in 2016. He was also charged with manslaughter in her death. Knapp had his manslaughter charge withdrawn according to a report in the Woodstock Sentinel Review.
De Wit was 32 years old when she died from a fentanyl overdose at a restaurant in Norwich in January of 2016. She had purchased the illicit fentanyl from Knapp.
Knapp will be sentenced on April 16th at 2:00 p.m.
