People can share the Christmas Spirit by donating to the Salvation Army Christmas Kettles this year.
Bright red kettles are appearing all over the county!
The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign is in full swing, and Major Gail Sears, Director of Community and Family Services inspires everyone to dig deep into their pockets and make a donation.
"All those coins, you wouldn't believe how much they add up. It's all helpful, and it all adds up, and it's all in the spirit of Christmas and we appreciate everything."
Sears adds the money raised during the annual holiday project helps to back the many programs offered by the Salvation Army throughout the year.
"Right now we're actively engaging people to receive a Christmas Hamper and so we provide food for Christmas Day and the days surrounding Christmas and toys for the Children."
There is always a need for new, friendly faces to man the kettles throughout the season leading up to Christmas. If you would like to sign up, call Bonnie at 519-539-6166.
