The crown has withdrawn a manslaughter charge for Flavius Miron and will be a seeking 2nd degree murder charge.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock courthouse was once again full of Justice for Jed supporters.
They were at the hearing for 24 year old Flavius Miron. Miron is accused of killing 48 year old Jerry Klassen, after he was found unresponsive in his home on July 13th.
At today's hearing the Crown requested to withdraw the manslaughter charge against Miron and instead will be seeking a charge of second degree murder. They also withdrew an unrelated theft charge from January of 2016.
Miron appeared before the court in a blue and white collared shirt. His hair was tied back in a ponytail and his face a cleanly shaven.
The court room was once again filled with Klassen supporters who wore shirts and sweaters reading Justice for Jed with a Harley Davidson logo. They have gone to every court appearance and the supporters are growing in numbers.
The supporters did not want to speak with the media after the hearing, however they did have nothing but positive things to say about Jerry Klassen. One of them told Heart FM you won't anyone in this town who has a bad thing to say about Jed.
