Another bi-weekly morning show interview with Warden Marcus Ryan took place on Heart FM.
OXFORD COUNTY - Reaction continues to come regarding the news about CAMI.
Warden, Marcus Ryan was on the Heart FM Morning show and shared his thoughts. Ryan knows how tough this news is.
"The first and foremost thing is it's just really bad news for 1,200 families. These are people who now don't have a paycheck, people with kids, people are trying to figure out how they're going to pay for hockey this year, put money in their RRSP, pay bills, frankly, this month. And those people are going through a whole lot of trouble right now, like, that they were not asking for."
He mentions County Council does not directly help with the situation, but as friends, neighbours and fellow Oxford County residents, everyone needs to come together and help in any way they can. Ryan was also asked about the Road Safety Study that was presented at Council, and had this to say.
"We asked for that report in the spring. We got a report back yesterday from county staff saying here's what they would like to do in order to implement two specific policies, Ontario Good Roads Rural Safety Policy and the Vision Zero, which is a more urban-focused road safety policy."
Other topics were also discussed during the interview and you can listen to the full segment below.
