He talked about the public consultation efforts for the Homeless Service Centre and the recent cases of Pride flag vandalism in Norwich.

OXFORD - Oxford County now has a plan in place for collecting public input for the new Homeless Service Centre.

An online survey will be posted to the Speak Up Oxford website and a public meeting will also take place so residents can voice their thoughts and ask any questions they have.

Warden Marcus Ryan says all of this information will be brought to the architects.

"We want to hear of all of that from people before we finalize exactly the layout of the property and how it's going to be used, so all of those things can be incorporated if possible before it's finished."

The dates for the survey and the meeting have yet to be finalized.

During his interview on the Heart FM Morning Show today, Warden Marcus Ryan also commented on the recent cases of Pride flag vandalism in Norwich. The OPP say someone cut down the flag pole at Emily Stowe Public School Saturday night and ran away with the Pride flag, less than a week after the previous Pride flag was taken down and burned.

Warden Ryan says despicable and horrible acts like this send shockwaves through the community.

"Think about the parents trying to send their kids the school the day after that flag pole was cut down, wondering if it was safe to send their kids to school that day. Imagine if you're a Grade 7 student wondering if they like boys or girls."

He encouraged people to attend the Pride Family Day in Museum Square on Saturday, adding more love is a good thing.

Warden Ryan also discussed the following topis during his interview this morning:

- The municipal budget survey that's currently live on the Speak Up Oxford website.

- Public consultation efforts for the new Official Plan that's in the works.

- How the province is considering having municipal service corporations handle water services.
