The Canada Day celebration will take place over the entire weekend.
INNERKIP - Innerkip is ready to celebrate Canada's 158th birthday.
Events will begin with a slowpitch tournament tomorrow night at 5pm and will run until Sunday.
Innerkip Lions Club Member Scott McKague is reaching out for public support. "We are definitely looking for donations. The parade specifically has a lot of additional costs that have started this year that we haven't had to deal with before. If we want to continue doing these great events, we need to have some donations, and every little bit helps."
McKague is excited for the return of a fan favourite.
"Saturday is the big day, we love our parade at 10 am right down the main street at Blandford Road, there in Innerkip. There is a special treat, weather permitting, from the fire department at the end of the parade for the kids. Stick around and you will get wet on this ride, that's a little hint."
The festivities include a family dance, the Fireman's Breakfast, and will conclude with a fireworks display on Sunday night. A full list of activities can be found here
