A 17-year-old has been charged after the Middlesex OPP spotted a vehicle going 176 kilometres per hour on Highway 401.
INGERSOLL - A 17-year-old from Ingersoll has found themself in hot water after they were pulled over on Highway 401 for speeding.
The Middlesex OPP say they were going 176 kilometres per hour in the eastbound lanes close to Dorchester Road at around 11:15 p.m. on Monday January 1st. This is significantly over the 100 kilometre per hour speed limit.
The teenage driver has been charged with stunt driving, careless driving, driving a motor vehicle without a valid permit, and failing to surrender their licence. Their vehicle has been impounded for two weeks and their licence has been suspended for 30 days.
