Victor Elford has been selected to represent the Town of Ingersoll in the 2015 Pan Am Torch relay.
INGERSOLL - The Town of Ingersoll has selected a 13 year old, Harrisfield Public School student as their 2015 Pan Am torchbearer.
Economic Development & Tourism Assistant for the Town of Ingersoll, Chelsea Jibb says Victor Elford is a student and coach with the Seiwa Kai Karate Club.
"Victor Elford is representing the Community portion of the torch so he will be running the portion that leads to our community celebration here in town, which will be on June 18," continued Jibb.
Each of the 3000 torchbearers will complete, on average, a 200 metre relay segment.
Jibb says residents should keep a close eye on the Town of Ingersoll's Facebook page for more information on the Pan Am Community Celebration.
