They say the cream rises to the top -- but it's the cheese who stands alone when it comes to awards and accolades.
INGERSOLL - The accolades keep pouring in for the Ingersoll Cheese and Agriculture Museum.
Curator Scott Gillies was surprised to see the local hot spot listed in the American magazine Culture.
"The Ingersoll Museum was listed as one of the 5 locals in the world to - as museums - to go and learn about the history and the art of cheese making."
The other museums listed hail from Australia, Amsterdam, France, and Wisconsin.
Gillies says a mammoth amount of work went into getting to this point.
"Forty years of hard work! We have to look back to those people who were the driving force to see that a cheese museum was actually created all those years ago."
This comes shortly after the local museum was named the Top Small Museum or Historic Site by the Ontario Choice Awards.
