UPDATE: According to Ontario Power Generation, the alert that was issued this morning regarding Pickering Nuclear was sent in error and there is no danger to the public or the environment.
ONTARIO - The provincial government has issued an emergency bulletin following an incident at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station.
According to the Province, there was an incident reported at the station however there has been no abnormal release of radioactivity and emergency staff are responding to the situation.
They sent out a mobile alert earlier this morning to people who live within 10 kilometres of the power plant.
At this time, they say people near the station do not need to take any protective actions.
