Two men are facing impaired driving charges after a couple of cars went into the ditch this weekend in Perth County.
PERTH EAST - Perth County OPP charged two people with impaired driving over the weekend.
The first case of drinking and driving happened in Perth East when a car went into the ditch on Friday. A 25 year old man from Toronto was arrested at the scene and charged with impaired driving and failure to provide a breath sample.
Police also arrested and charged a 25 year old man from Perth East with impaired driving and driving while under suspension on Monday. Once again the car ended up in the ditch and the driver ended up in the back of a police car. Both men had their license suspended and vehicles seized.
The dangers of driving while impaired are well known and pose a significant risk to public safety. The Perth County OPP is urging everyone to plan ahead and arrange for a designated driver or overnight accommodations to avoid a tragedy.
Should you observe concerning driving behaviour, pull over and dial 9-1-1. Working together, we can ensure that everyone arrives safely at their destinations.
