Police say a 24 year old man was drunk and speeding when he lost control of his vehicle, hitting a tree and the front of a house in the area of Devonshire Ave and Leinster Street early Saturday morning.
WOODSTOCK - A 24 year old man from Woodstock is facing several charges after he apparently drove into a home on Devonshire Ave.
Police say the man was drunk and speeding when he lost control of his vehicle on Saturday morning around 3:20. The vehicle crossed the traffic lanes before hitting a tree and then the front of a residence in the area of Devonshire Ave and Leinster Street.
The man tried to get away on foot and police found him a short while later after a quick chase. He was taken to the hospital for an assessment and then arrested on the following charges:
- Dangerous Operation
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and Drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Fail to comply with Probation Order
- Fail to Remain
