Students at a local high school are ready to step up and voice their opinions on the teachers latest protest. The Ontario Secondary School Teachers are stopping extra-curricular and volunteer duties Monday. Grade 12 student Chelsea Roy says students at Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute have planned a walk-out. "Following O'Canada the students have been invited to get up and walk outside to the front lawn so we can protest how unfair we feel we're being treated," said Roy. Over 170 students have joined a Facebook group to participate tomorrow. Roy says they are not choosing sides, but are protesting the affects this job action is having on them. "Extra-curricular mean a lot to us and our teachers also mean a lot to us. We don't think that either us or the teachers are being treated fairly. We just don't want to stand back and just let people think that we're OK with this, because we're not. We have valuable voices and we want to be heard," said Roy.
