WOODSTOCK - According to Hydro One, a car accident is to blame for Thursday's power outage.
Communications Officers Nancy Clark says a collision caused three hydro poles and five transformers near the Dundas Street and Huron intersection to fall.
2,500 customers were originally effected and although Hydro One crews were able to get power back to most homes by 7 p.m., 184 customers had to wait until 1:20 a.m. on Friday before they had their power restored.
