Passerby alerts apartment residents of fire, one left critically injured.
TILLSONBURG -- The Ontario Fire Marshall is continuing to investigate a fire in Tillsonburg that left one woman with critical injuries.
Oxford OPP say a passerby smelt smoke in the Frances Street area shortly before midnight on Saturday.
The citizen called 9-1-1 and then alerted the residents in the other apartments of the fire. An attempt was made to enter the apartment where the smoke was coming from but it was too thick to enter.
The fire deptartment pulled a female in distress from the apartment and she was rushed to hospital.
The cause of the fire and the damage estimates have not been released at this time.
