The Oxford County community continues to support the family of four-year-old Hunter Weston through the Hope for Hunter fundraiser.
WOODSTOCK/INGERSOLL - Ridgeline Operations Team in Woodstock is holding a fundraiser for four year old Hunter Weston and his family.
Hunter was first diagnosed with Neuroblastoma on March 26th of last year, on his mothers birthday of all days. Since then he has undergone 11 rounds of chemo and countless surgeries to try and put a halt to his cancer. Hunter started immunotherapy in March 2021 and finished two rounds of treatment by the beginning of April 2021. Immunotherapy is not covered by OHIP and the family had to pay for it out of pocket. Multiple fundraisers were held for Hunter earlier this year to help.
The immunotherapy did not work and they are out of options for the little guy.
Owner of Ridgeline Shayne Soulliere explains how this fundraiser will work.
"It is as low as $25 for a sticker and the sticker also gets you into an entry for a draw for $10,000 worth of prizes. All money from these donations and the draw go directly to Hunter and his family, the money is not touch by Ridgeline and our team."
Soulliere actually went to High School with Hunters parents and has been in contact with them ever since. He also wanted to do something to help them pay some of their bills, as they have spent the last year in and out of the hospital with Hunter. Soulliere is also having a bin open at his house on weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 482 Sales Drive in Woodstock as a local pickup option.
You can enter the draw and purchase a sticker online here.
