WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Fire Department wants to ensure everyone stays safe this holiday season.
Fire Chief, Jeff Slager says if there is an emergency have a plan.
"Make sure your guests or anybody that may be staying over is familiar with it. family that might not always be there may not know what your routes are and where they're to go in the event of an emergency."
Slager shares his thoughts on how to make sure everyone stays safe.
"While you're cooking be present in the kitchen keep an eye on what your cooking to make sure things don't get away on you."
Another tip offered by the Woodstock Fire Department is a dry real Christmas tree can go up in a matter of seconds, so you need to make sure it is watered and well taken care of.
