A road rage situation turned extra ugly when a replica gun was thrown into the mix
A St Thomas teen learned the hard way pointing a fake gun at someone can land you in the middle of a high risk takedown.
London Police received a call from a concerned citizen around 4 Thursday afternoon who claimed a driver in another vehicle had pointed a gun at them as a result of a road rage situation.
Police investigation took them into Oxford County where OPP stopped the suspect car in the east bound lanes of Highway 401 near Highway 6, blocking the highway and causing the officers to draw their weapons.
According to London Police Cst Ken Steeves the suspect was taken into custody where it was determined the gun was a replica.
While the unnamed 19 year old was eventually released with a warning, Police are reminding citizens that it does become a criminal offense if the replica gun is used improperly as they are often times made to look extremely real.
