As the heat warning continues for the region, Environment Canada says to watch for effects from heat illness, including rash, fainting, cramps and heat exhaustion.
OXFORD COUNTY - A heat warning remains in effect for Oxford County.
During this weekend and early this week, Environment Canada says a prolonged period of hot weather is expected.
Woodstock and Tillsonburg are among the areas affected.
Temperatures will go past 30 degrees Celsius with the humidity levels reaching the high 30's to the low 40's. We'll see overnight lows close to 20 degrees throughout this time, providing little relief from the heat.
They say extreme heat affects everyone, but younger children, pregnant women and older adults are among the people who are at greater risk.
Environment Canada adds to watch for effects from heat illness, including rash, fainting and heat exhaustion.
