The Hawkins Gignac Act is on it's way back to the Ontario Legislature. MPP Ernie Hardeman will once again be asking for the bill, which would make it law that all homes in the province have a functioning carbon monoxide detector, pass second and third reading. The bill has been introduced five times. It has passed second reading three times and the committee stage once, each with support from all parties. The bill is named after a Woodstock family that died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Ernie Hardeman will be moving the motion in the Ontario Legislature at approximately 10:30 this morning. We'll have more on it this afternoon on Heart FM News.
