A local hairdresser will be cutting hair for a cause on May 6th
WOODSTOCK - Hairpower invites you to their Cut-A-Thon to support a good cause next month.
The event will take place at the salon at 565 Dundas Street.
Owner Mike Commisso says why they want to give back to the community and why they chose to donate.
"My brother Frank often goes out for the ride. So this year he thought he would deticate a day that myself, my brother Frank and Richelle, which is another employee of Hairpower, will be in the salon Sunday May 6, 2018. We are going to be cutting from 10:00 o'clock to 6:00pm and all the proceeds from our haircuts will go to the charity, Ride Don't Hide."
Ride Don't Hide is an annual fundraiser run by the CMHA of Woodstock. It is the largest mental health bike ride in Canada.
All haircuts will cost a minimum of $25.00. Extra donations are not asked for but they're appreciated.
Commisso says everyone in the community is invited for the affordable haircut at the salon.
"Anybody. Men, women, children, everyone is welcome to come out. It's going to be catered by Paninos and we're going to have a lot of special gusts out there."
You can find out more about the event on the Hairpower Facebook page here.
