Flood warnings have been issued in Brant County and the Township of North Dumfries.
The Grand River Conservation Authority has issued a flood warning for most of the watershed including the Township of North Dumfries and Brant County.
Some areas are harder hit than others and couple of area trailer parks may need to be evacuated.
North Dumfries flood co-ordinators are being asked to warn and prepare to evacuate residents inside the Everglades Trailer Park south of Cambridge. The trailer park is expected to experience flooding tonight and into tomorrow.
Trailer Park residents in Brant Park are also getting ready to evcuate as the Conservation is anticipating flooding at the park.
Grand River watershed residents should be aware that flows will be much higher than normal and will not be safe for recreational activities. The public is reminded to exercise extreme caution around all water bodies. Banks adjacent to rivers and creeks are very slippery at this time and, when combined with current weather conditions, pose a serious hazard. Parents are encouraged to keep their children and pets away from all watercourses.
