UPDATE: Residents from James St. tell Heart FM the power is back on. James St. is the lone area in Woodstock still without power this morning. A series of outages took place across much of the city, starting around 7 o'clock this morning. Woodstock Hydro's Jay Heaman tells Heart FM the initial problem appears to have been caused by a couple of squirrels that got into a substation. Crews have been working on restoring power, but Heaman says one breaker remains out. It covers James St. from Wilson St. to Springbank Ave. There's no timeline for when the power will be restored.
