More than 250-thousand S-U-Vs are being recalled in Canada and the U-S. Automakers say salt and other chemicals used to clear roads in the winter can cause corrosion in some circuit boards, leading to short-circuits and possibly fires. G-M says it has reports of 28 fires, but knows of no injuries. The S-U-Vs are from the 2006 and 2007 model year and include the Chevrolet TrailBlazer, G-M-C Envoy, Buick Rainier, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 97-X.
