You can take a look at the accomplishments of Future Oxford from the past 5 years with a new comprehensive report card.
OXFORD COUNTY - Future Oxford has shared a comprehensive report card and video to the public and County council
Manager of Strategic Initiatives Dennis Guy says it highlights the progress being made on the Future Oxford Community Sustainability Plan.
"This is the first time the group has taken the opportunity to look at the first 5 years of the plan being in place. Looking at the entire plan with all 74 actions, the thing I find the most impressive is that 94% have seen movement, have seen some member of the community, some organization in the community or a Government or a business take hold of making things better. 94% of those 74 actions have started and to me, just as that overall story, it is a really good one and of course the councils support over the past 5 years as well."
Guy says the report features a number of highlights.
"The local votes matter campaign during the 2018 municipal election, the Future Oxford Legacy Fund, which provides capital and grant funding for local organizations to do sustainable things. Hodges pond restoration, they have Oxford Fresh, which Oxford Tourism put together and it is really cools. The 100% renewable energy commitment and the work done on poverty reduction, the We Grow Together campaign, put together by ROEDC, some really cool things I would say over the last 5 years."
