The Future Oxford Partnership is hoping to find some new members with a an interest in improving the quality of life in Oxford County.
The Future Oxford Partnership is looking for new members.
They are hoping to find community members with an interest in improving the quality of life in Oxford County. The goal of the partnership is to help advance sustainability efforts in Oxford County. Future Oxford Chair Randy Peltz tells Heart FM this is an exciting time to be joining the team.
"Future Oxford is entering an exciting phase as some of the goals of the Community Sustainability Plan become defined and initiatives begin to form. Now is the perfect time for new and fresh perspectives to come on board and provide their ideas that will help shape the local community, economy and environment for future generations."
Volunteer members are asked to provide input into the strategy for acting on the 70 actions outlined in the Future Oxford Community Sustainability Plan. They ware also asked to provide guidance and support to the community and business partners working to achieve the targets.
Residents with knowledge or experience in the following areas should consider applying:
- Social issues
- Culture
- Health and wellness
- Environmental issues
- Seniors’ issues
- Youth issues
- Business and finance
- Rural issues
- Urban development
- Other quality of life areas that help shape a secure future
Applications for membership on the Future Oxford Partnership are being accepted now until Monday, May 1 at 4:00 p.m. Membership recruitment is being administered by Oxford County.
