WOODSTOCK - The countdown is on for the second annual Future Oxford Expo at the Aud in Woodstock.
This years event will feature keynote speaker Milfred Hammberbacher who's the Co-Founder and CEO of s23 Technologies Inc. He will speak about sustainable communities and progress on London West 5, s2e’s partnership with Sifton to create the largest SMART community in North America
We will also get an address from Doug Yates, Director, Environment & Energy, GM Canada, who will discuss GM’s goal of 100% renewable energy across all manufacturing facilities by 2050.
Also speaking at the event is Chih-Cheng Chao, Principal, Cantech Environmental Services, whose focus is on zero waste goals and the sustainability impacts of “un-thoughtful” economic activities
Manager of Strategic Initiatives Jay Heaman tells Heart FM they are going to have some really impressive technology on display this year.
"An outdoor electric vehicle showcase, we are going to have a couple of Tesla's with the autonomous features people have been reading about, so we might even have a chance for some test drives in the electric vehicles and also the opportunity to see autonomous vehicles in action."
The Expo is happening on Thursday April 20th.
