The Future Oxford Expo on January 28th will give residents a glimpse into the future of the county.
OXFORD COUNTY - The countdown is on for the Future Oxford Expo on Thursday January 28th.
Four guest speakers have been lined up for the event which will also feature a local food cooking demonstration from the Fairly Fat Guys and a waste free food booth from Todd's Dogs. Chair of the Future Oxford Partnership Chris Friesen tells Heart FM what he hopes people will take away from the Expo.
"What struck me as I was getting to know the County is how much is happening that I had no idea was happening, anybody who shows up will realize, they will heard of some organizations, they will be familiar with some organizations but there will be some aspects of what's happening in the County that people will have no idea, either it's happening or to what degree it's happening."
Friesen says everyone who lives in Oxford County will be impacted by the future Oxford plan and this is the best opportunity for everyone to see exactly what they are doing.
"The Future Oxford Plan covers all major aspects of what people value in the County because it came from the people in the County when we were working to see what stakeholders thought, so we really do hope that people see it as there plan and that it represents what they believe is in important and what they want to see both grow and not grow."
