A private funeral for Sergeant Eric Mueller will be taking place at the Canadian Tire Centre today. He was killed in an ambush attack in Bourget last week.
OTTAWA - The OPP officer who was killed in an ambush attack east of Ottawa will be laid to rest today.
Sergeant Eric Mueller was killed last week while responding to a disturbance call at a home in Bourget. Two other officers were also injured in the shooting. A 39-year-old man has since been charged with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.
Mueller was a 42-year-old father of two and a police funeral will be taking place at the Canadian Tire Centre today. It will be a private service, but you'll be able to watch the livestream online here starting at 11:00 a.m.
Members of the public will also be able to watch the funeral procession from Théo Brunet & Sons Funeral Home in Rockland, to the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata.
The procession and funeral for OPP Sgt. Eric Mueller will be held on Thursday. Members of the public who wish to watch can do so on the channels listed below.
