An Ingersoll teen has arranged for a fantastic night full of music and dancing to help a 4 year old boy with Christianson Syndrome
WOODSTOCK - An Ingersoll teen is planning a big night to acknowledge a 4 year old boy.
Donald Heald is hoping to see a large crowd attend a dance and silent auction he has planned to support Lyndon Kloss. Heald explains what Lyndon has to live with everyday and how he began to help the family. "Lyndon lives with Christianson Syndrome which leaves him with no motor skills, he is tube fed, and can't walk. Back in grade 11 I started a project for my leadership class, my teacher mentioned to me about a little boy, a local boy, explained everything to me and I went with it. I contacted the parents it really started from there." All the money raised will go toward back to the Kloss family where a trust fund has been created in Lyndon's name.
Heald is looking to financially assist the family by holding a special evening. "It has been great! Their family has welcomed me with open arms. I raised a little bit of money earlier over the summer, and that went to his Dad and that went into the trust fund account. The money that we raise at the benefit will also go to them which will also go into the trust fund."
"I think they should attend the event just for the support of the little guy, and what he has to live with." says Heald. "It is something we can't prepare for, I think it is a good thing to show the support and show that people do care."
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Independent grocery store, Canadian Tire in Ingersoll as well has Heald himself at 226-228-6642.
The event will be held at the Unifor building on Beale Street in Woodstock on November 14th.
